Synopsis
Truth & Treason (2025) is a historical thriller from Angel Studios you can watch online on iFILM. Director Matt Whitaker tells the story of Helmuth Hübener, a sixteen-year-old in wartime Hamburg who tuned into a forbidden BBC broadcast and could not unhear what he learned. Ewan Horrocks plays Helmuth; Rupert Evans and Ferdinand McKay are the two friends who join him.
The three teenagers type up flyers and slip them under doors across the city. What they're doing is a capital offence under the Nazi regime, and they know it. The Gestapo does not take long. The film follows Helmuth through interrogation, trial and the choice of whether to name the others — all pulled from declassified records and survivor testimony.
