Synopsis
Wolf Creek (2005) is an Australian outback horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Three young travelers drive across scorched backcountry to see a meteorite crater. Their car dies in the empty wastes. Then headlights appear, and help looks like it's finally arrived.
Ben, Liz and Kristy (Nathan Phillips, Cassandra Magrath, Kestie Morassi) accept a tow from a local bushman named Mick Taylor. Mick jokes around the campfire, riffs on crocodiles — and somewhere inside that easy charm, something starts to feel deeply wrong. By the time they come to, they're already his, stranded where no scream travels. What follows isn't a chase. It's a slow, deliberate hunt.
Greg McLean's debut took cues from real Australian killings, and that's its raw nerve: calm, free of jump-scare music, lit by dusty daylight instead of shadow. John Jarratt plays Mick so well the character became a genre fixture. A harsh, bleak watch that isn't for the squeamish — but if you want pitiless survival horror, this is a benchmark.
