Kokuho

A celebrated actor takes him in; the man's son Shunsuke becomes his closest rival and companion. The film traces both of them across decades — through training, failure, ambition, and the slow calcification of greatness. Ken Watanabe plays a pivotal figure in their path, while Min Tanaka portrays the legendary onnagata Mangiku Onogawa.
