Synopsis
Father of the Bride (1991) is an American comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Charles Shyer. Steve Martin plays George Banks — a devoted dad who discovers, all at once, that his 22-year-old daughter Annie is engaged, the wedding will be enormous, and he is expected to pay for most of it. Diane Keaton co-stars as his wife Nina, the voice of reason nobody listens to.
George likes the groom well enough, until he meets the in-laws and gets the first invoice. Martin Short steals scenes as the wedding planner who turns a family celebration into a logistical catastrophe. The real drama, though, is quieter: George struggling to let go of the little girl who used to sit on his shoulders. Kimberly Williams-Paisley plays Annie in her feature film debut.
