Daughter Kelly (Christina Applegate) is gorgeous and spectacularly uninterested in anything that requires thinking. Son Bud (David Faustino) thinks he's smarter than everyone and has the track record to prove he's wrong. Neighbors Marcy and Jefferson drop by constantly, supposedly normal — and increasingly not.

The show was controversial enough to inspire an organized boycott before the second season aired. It survived, thrived, and ran for a decade.
