Mr. Deeds

Mr. Deeds (2002) is a comedy with Adam Sandler and Winona Ryder that you can watch online on iFILM. Longfellow Deeds runs a pizzeria in tiny Mandrake Falls and writes greeting-card verse on the side. He has no big-city dreams, until a lawyer shows up with news: a dead uncle has left him $40 billion, a media empire, and two pro sports teams.

Deeds heads to New York, where the fortune draws every grifter in town. Tabloid reporter Babe Bennett (Winona Ryder) fakes a sweet small-town act to get her scoop, then falls for the guy's plain decency instead. Director Steven Brill reworks Frank Capra's 1936 film into a vehicle for Sandler's brand of slapstick, backed by John Turturro, Peter Gallagher, and Steve Buscemi.
