A graduating class boards the ocean liner Lazarus for a celebration cruise to New York. They don't know a hockey-masked stowaway came along. As the ship pushes through the dark, the passenger count drops fast, and the survivors, sharp-minded student Rennie (Jensen Daggett) and a few classmates, realize the dock won't save them. Once Jason reaches dry land, he simply keeps hunting through the city's alleys and subways. Kane Hodder returns under the mask for a second straight film.

Despite that bold subtitle, only the final stretch actually unfolds in Manhattan, a running joke among series die-hards for decades. Still, the showdown amid steaming sewers and a rain-slicked Times Square lands with real grime and atmosphere. It's one for completists working through the whole saga.
