mixed-ish (2019) is an American sitcom you can watch online on iFILM. A prequel to black-ish, it has a grown-up Rainbow Johnson looking back on her childhood in a mixed-race family, with a white father and a Black mother.

Twelve-year-old Bow grows up on a hippie commune until the place gets shut down, and the family relocates to a comfortable American suburb in the 1980s. That's where the real challenge starts: at their new school, Bow and her younger brother and sister don't slot into any group, relatives pull them in opposite directions, and the kids start asking, for the first time, who exactly they are — and whether you can be yourself without picking one half.

Tracee Ellis Ross narrates as the adult Rainbow, Arica Himmel plays the young one, with Tika Sumpter and Mark-Paul Gosselaar as the parents and Gary Cole as the granddad.
