Synopsis
District 13: Ultimatum (Banlieue 13 - Ultimatum, 2009) is Patrick Alessandrin's French action thriller, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Three years on, the walled-off 13th district of Paris is now carved up between five rival gangs — and powerful men have quietly decided the whole sector should be flattened for redevelopment.
Police captain Damien (Cyril Raffaelli) is framed by his own corrupt colleagues and thrown in a cell. The only person willing to spring him is Leïto (David Belle), a local who knows every rooftop and pipe in the neighborhood. Together they have to expose the conspirators inside the government and turn the warring gangs against a shared enemy before the bulldozers roll in.
Luc Besson wrote the script again, and the draw is the same one that made the original a cult hit: parkour with no wires and no CGI. Belle, who helped invent the discipline, hurls himself between buildings for real, while Raffaelli handles the close-combat and the stunts that look genuinely dangerous. The plot is just enough to string one chase to the next, and that's the honest appeal here — pure kinetic action for anyone who hits play to watch bodies move.
