MacLeod first dies — and doesn't — on a Highland battlefield sometime in the 1530s. His clansmen drive him out. Centuries of wandering follow, guided by the Spanish swordsman Ramirez (Connery), who explains what MacLeod is and how the game ends. In 1986 New York the endgame arrives: the Kurgan (Brown), a brutal immortal who has been hunting MacLeod across the centuries, closes in for the final bout. There can be only one. Queen wrote the soundtrack — six tracks, including "Princes of the Universe."
