About

Synopsis

Bloodsport (1988) — an action thriller from Cannon Films — is available to watch online on iFILM. Directed by Newt Arnold, the film made Jean-Claude Van Damme a star: US Army soldier Frank Dux slips away from his post without orders and flies to Hong Kong to fight in the Kumite.

The Kumite is an underground full-contact tournament with no weight classes, no referees, and fighters from every corner of the world. FBI agents (Forest Whitaker) are on Frank's trail before he even lands. Inside the arena, his path runs straight toward defending champion Chong Li — played with cold menace by Bolo Yeung. Frank's edge: years of training under Japanese martial arts master Tanaka (Roy Chiao), who raised him like a son and drilled him until technique became instinct.

Made for $1.5 million and earning over $60 million at the box office, Bloodsport became one of Cannon Films' defining hits. The story is drawn from Frank Dux's own account of his life. Stream Bloodsport (1988) online on iFILM.
