Friday the 13th Part 2

Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) is the slasher sequel you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Steve Miner. Five years after the massacre at Camp Crystal Lake, a new group of counselors sets up nearby — and the legend turns out to be very much alive.

Ginny, played by Amy Steel, is the sharpest person in the group: a child-psychology student who actually tries to understand what's hunting them rather than just run. Adrienne King returns in the prologue to connect this film directly to the original. Director Miner keeps the pace deliberate — long stretches of quiet before each strike — which makes the kills land harder than most films of the era managed. The sack-masked Jason of this entry is rougher and more primal than the iconic hockey-mask version that followed.
