Troy

Troy (2004) is Wolfgang Petersen's historical war epic starring Brad Pitt, and you can watch it online on iFILM. It's a loose take on Homer's Iliad about a war set off by one woman.

Trojan prince Paris (Orlando Bloom) sails Helen away from Sparta and her husband Menelaus. The insulted king turns to his brother, the power-hungry Agamemnon, who has been waiting for any excuse to launch his ships against a rich city. The Greeks lay siege to Troy, and time after time the outcome hinges on a single man: Achilles (Pitt), the army's deadliest fighter, who battles for glory rather than for other men's kings. Against him stands the honorable Hector (Eric Bana). The cast also includes Sean Bean, Brian Cox, Peter O'Toole and Diane Kruger.

Petersen stripped the gods out of the myth and left the people behind it: politics, pride, the fear of being forgotten. The huge battle scenes used thousands of extras back before wall-to-wall CGI.
