The Bodyguard

The Bodyguard (1992) is a Warner Bros. action romance directed by Mick Jackson that you can watch online on iFILM. Kevin Costner plays Frank Farmer, a former Secret Service agent carrying guilt from a past assignment, who reluctantly signs on to protect a pop superstar. Whitney Houston — in her film debut — plays Rachel Marron, the Grammy-winning singer surrounded by wealth, fans, and anonymous death threats.

Farmer runs protection the old-fashioned way: controlled access, no exceptions, no personal entanglements. Rachel lives by different rules entirely. The push and pull between a man who treats every room as a threat map and a woman used to having any door opened for her drives the film's first half. Then the threats turn concrete and Farmer realizes the danger is more calculated than fan obsession. The film runs 129 minutes and cost $25 million — it earned back more than $410 million worldwide.
