Synopsis
The Addams Family (1991) is a dark comedy directed by Barry Sonnenfeld — watch online on iFILM. Raúl Juliá and Anjelica Huston play Gomez and Morticia Addams, a couple whose idea of a romantic evening involves a dagger, a suit of armour and possibly the dungeon. Their daughter Wednesday (Christina Ricci) tortures her brother Pugsley between school plays that end in fake executions. The family genuinely cannot see what the fuss is about.
Into this household arrives a man claiming to be the long-lost Uncle Fester, missing for 25 years. Christopher Lloyd plays him as equal parts unsettling and oddly sweet. Morticia grows suspicious when the supposed Fester can't recall a single family detail, while Gomez — too desperate to have his brother back — refuses to see what is obvious to everyone else. The scheme behind the impersonation involves the family fortune and a crooked lawyer.
