About

Synopsis

Mrs. Doubtfire (1993) is a 20th Century Fox family comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Director Chris Columbus cast Robin Williams as Daniel Hillard — a voice actor whose marriage just collapsed and whose kids are now limited to one visit a week by court order.

Daniel's solution is extreme. With his brother's skills in prosthetics and wigs, he reinvents himself as Euphegenia Doubtfire, an elderly British housekeeper, and talks his way into a job at his ex-wife Miranda's home (Sally Field). Back in the house every single day — cooking, cleaning, reading bedtime stories — while keeping the disguise intact when suave Stu (Pierce Brosnan) starts showing up for dinner.

The physical comedy is relentless, but what holds the film together is something quieter: a father willing to go to absurd lengths just to be present. The movie grossed over $440 million worldwide on a $25 million budget and earned Williams a Golden Globe. Stream Mrs. Doubtfire (1993) online on iFILM.
