Synopsis

Scent of a Woman (1992) is an American drama directed by Martin Brest — watch it online on iFILM. Al Pacino plays retired Lt. Col. Frank Slade: blind, furious, and planning one last grand weekend before he checks out for good. His family hires broke prep school student Charlie Simms to babysit him over Thanksgiving. Charlie has no idea what he's signing up for.

Slade has booked three days in New York at full throttle — the Waldorf, a perfect steak, and a tango with a stranger in a hotel ballroom. Charlie, played by Chris O'Donnell, is hiding a secret back at school that could get him expelled. Two men jammed into a limo: one who has nothing left to lose and one who still has everything to fight for. Somewhere along the ride, the line between guardian and charge flips entirely.

Pacino won the Academy Award for Best Actor in 1993 — his first win after six prior nominations. The tango sequence with Gabrielle Anwar and the courtroom-style speech before the school disciplinary board became instant classics. Philip Seymour Hoffman appears in an early supporting role. Made for $31 million, the film earned $134 million worldwide. Stream Scent of a Woman (1992) in full on iFILM.
