Synopsis
Interview with the Vampire (1994) is Neil Jordan's gothic drama you can watch online on iFILM. Tom Cruise plays the vampire Lestat, Brad Pitt plays Louis — the man Lestat turns in 1791 Louisiana — and the story Louis tells a San Francisco journalist one long night spans two centuries, two continents, and a kind of loneliness that outlasts everyone around you.
Louis never wanted to hunt. He wanted to die after losing his family, and instead got immortality with a landlord who treats murder as table manners. Their uneasy arrangement shatters when they turn Claudia (Kirsten Dunst), a child who will be physically ten years old forever. The real horror isn't fangs — it's what eternity does to people who didn't choose it the same way. Antonio Banderas appears as Armand, the oldest vampire Louis encounters, running a vampire theater in Paris.
Anne Rice wrote the screenplay herself, adapting her own 1976 novel — a rare arrangement that kept the source material's voice intact. Elliot Goldenthal's score earned a Golden Globe nomination. Stream Interview with the Vampire (1994) in full on iFILM.
