Sliding Doors

Sliding Doors (1998) — a British-American romantic drama written and directed by Peter Howitt — is available to watch online on iFILM. Gwyneth Paltrow plays Helen, a London PR executive who gets fired one morning and then races for the Tube. Whether she catches the train or misses it splits the film into two parallel stories running side by side.

In the version where she makes it, Helen comes home early and finds her boyfriend in bed with someone else. In the other, she arrives too late to see anything, catches a mugger's fist instead, and stays in the dark. John Hannah plays the man she meets only in the first timeline — on that very train. The two Helens live different years from the same Thursday.
