Synopsis

The Ides of March (2011) is a political drama by George Clooney you can watch online on iFILM. Ryan Gosling plays a young press strategist whose idealism won't survive a single campaign.

Stephen Meyers runs the press shop for charming Governor Mike Morris, who is fighting for the Democratic nomination. Stephen believes in his candidate and in the idea that politics can stay clean. Then come the quiet calls from the rival camp, the leaks, other people's secrets, and an affair that could sink everything. Clooney himself plays the governor, with Philip Seymour Hoffman and Paul Giamatti as two hardened campaign managers, plus Evan Rachel Wood and Marisa Tomei.

It's adapted from Beau Willimon's play Farragut North, written out of his own time inside a real campaign. Clooney builds it without villains: everyone is simply playing by rules that turn your stomach. Stream The Ides of March (2011) online on iFILM.
