Synopsis

The Midnight Meat Train (2008) is Ryuhei Kitamura's horror film adapted from a Clive Barker short story, and you can watch it online on iFILM. New York's late-night subway. The last car. Not everyone who boards it gets off.

Leon Kaufman shoots street photography and goes hunting for genuinely dark images to land a gallery show. His lens catches a tall, silent man in a sharp suit who keeps riding the final train after midnight. Leon starts following him, and what he uncovers reaches far beyond a single killer with a butcher's mallet: the slaughter is a ritual older than the city itself. Bradley Cooper plays the photographer, and Vinnie Jones is Mahogany, a figure so menacing you'll want to switch subway lines.

Kitamura films violence with zero restraint, this is a brutal, gory, stylish splatter picture and not one for the squeamish. Barker's ending flips the whole story over and explains why the city stays quiet about it. If you like urban legends with real mythology underneath, this one delivers.
