Buried in debt, Mortdecai takes on a dangerous job: track down a stolen painting said to hide the code to a vault of Nazi gold. The hunt drags him across the globe, with angry Russians, MI5 agents, an international terrorist and his own wife Johanna — played by Gwyneth Paltrow — all in his way. Watching his back is his loyal manservant Jock, played by Paul Bettany, while Inspector Martland (Ewan McGregor), quietly smitten with Johanna, dogs his every step.
