The Island

The Island (2005) is a sci-fi action thriller directed by Michael Bay — watch it online on iFILM. He and Jordan aren't survivors; they're clones grown by Dr. Merrick's corporation (played by Sean Bean) as living spare parts for wealthy clients. With a mercenary team led by Albert Laurent (Djimon Hounsou) hunting them across a world they've never seen, they have one shot at something real.

Produced by DreamWorks and Warner Bros. on a $126 million budget, the film rounds out its cast with Steve Buscemi and Michael Clarke Duncan. Bay wraps a classic clone-ethics premise inside a full-throttle chase, keeping the central question — what makes a person a person — running underneath every set piece.
