Synopsis

The Glass House (2001) is a psychological thriller directed by Daniel Sackheim, and you can watch online on iFILM. After their parents die in a car crash, teenage Ruby and her younger brother Rhett move in with family friends in a sleek Malibu home of glass and concrete.

Terry and Erin Glass look like the perfect guardians: open spaces, a pool, no rules. Then Ruby starts noticing cracks. Money troubles that don't add up, lies about work, and a guardian a little too interested in the trust fund the kids inherited. Leelee Sobieski plays the girl nobody believes, while Stellan Skarsgard and Diane Lane bring a smiling menace that hardens scene by scene.

Sackheim, a veteran of The X-Files and Law & Order, builds dread from small domestic details rather than gore. The transparent house becomes its own trap: everything is visible, and there is nowhere to hide. A tidy, paranoid thriller for fans of The Hand That Rocks the Cradle.
