Tales from Earthsea

Tales from Earthsea (2006) is a Studio Ghibli animated fantasy you can watch online on iFILM. Director Goro Miyazaki, in his feature debut, drew on Ursula K. Le Guin's Earthsea novels to build a world where magic is a balance — and that balance is breaking.

Dragons are crossing into human lands where they never belonged. Crops rot. People go hollow-eyed and strange. Archmage Ged sets out to find the source of the unravelling, and on the road he picks up Prince Arren, a young fugitive running from a shadow of his own making — he killed his father, or something wearing his face did. They find shelter with a woman called Tenar, but the sorceress Cob has already spotted Arren's fear and knows exactly how to use it.
