Synopsis

Tess Coleman is a therapist with a packed schedule and a wedding to plan. Her 15-year-old daughter Anna fronts a garage band and can't stand Tess's fiancé. Then a fortune cookie at a Chinese restaurant scrambles everything. Tess has to survive high school, navigate a tyrannical teacher, and keep Anna's bandmates in check. Anna runs therapy sessions and tries not to derail the engagement. Both start to wonder if they had it wrong all along.
