Synopsis
Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961) is a romantic comedy-drama directed by Blake Edwards — watch it online on iFILM. Audrey Hepburn plays Holly Golightly, a New York socialite running on charm, Givenchy gowns, and the firm intention of marrying into money before anyone figures her out.
Holly's mornings start in front of the Tiffany & Co. window on Fifth Avenue with a coffee and a pastry — the only quiet moment in a life built on performance. When writer Paul Varjak (George Peppard) moves in upstairs, he sees through the act faster than she would like. Truman Capote, who wrote the source novella, famously wanted Marilyn Monroe for the part. The casting disagreement is long forgotten.
Hepburn's rendition of "Moon River" won the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1962; the film collected two Oscars that night. The little black dress, the cat with no name, and the song itself have outlasted every trend since. Stream Breakfast at Tiffany's online on iFILM.
