Synopsis
Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987) is available to watch online on iFILM — a sci-fi action entry in the Christopher Reeve Superman saga, directed by Sidney J. Furie. The Man of Steel decides to end the nuclear arms race himself: he gathers every warhead on Earth and hurls them into the Sun. World governments are not pleased. Meanwhile, the Daily Planet gets a new owner with a tabloid agenda.
Lex Luthor, played again by Gene Hackman, engineers a countermove — he uses a single strand of Superman's hair to create Nuclear Man, a solar-powered adversary built for one purpose. Cannon Films produced this fourth chapter on a tighter budget than earlier installments, which shows in the effects, but Reeve carries it with the same conviction that defined the series.
