Detective Eric Matthews (Donnie Wahlberg) catches Jigsaw almost too easily. That's the point. While Matthews sits across the table from a dying man who seems entirely at peace, eight strangers are locked in a house filling with a nerve agent, surrounded by Jigsaw's traps and a countdown nobody can stop. One of them is Amanda Young (Shawnee Smith) — the only person known to have beaten a Jigsaw game before. Beating it twice is a different problem.
