Synopsis

Pearl Harbor (2001) is a war romance directed by Michael Bay — watch online on iFILM. Starring Ben Affleck, Kate Beckinsale, and Josh Hartnett. A Jerry Bruckheimer Films production for Touchstone Pictures, running 183 minutes.

Childhood friends and fighter pilots Rafe McCawley and Danny Walker have been inseparable for years. When they both fall for Navy nurse Evelyn Johnson, the friendship cracks. Then, before either man can resolve anything, Japanese aircraft arrive over the Hawaiian base on the morning of December 7, 1941. Cuba Gooding Jr. plays Doris Miller, the real-life Navy cook who manned an anti-aircraft gun during the raid and later became one of the first Black Americans awarded the Navy Cross. Jon Voight portrays President Roosevelt; Alec Baldwin plays Colonel Doolittle, who appears late in the film with a mission of his own.

Bay filmed the attack sequences on location at the actual Pearl Harbor naval base with assistance from the U.S. Navy, giving the aerial combat scenes an unusual physical scale. The film grossed nearly $450 million worldwide. Stream Pearl Harbor (2001) on iFILM.
