Synopsis
Selfie (2014) is an American sitcom you can watch online on iFILM. Eliza Dooley has hundreds of thousands of followers and almost no real friends — a gap she only notices once a viral clip humiliates her. So she hires marketing guru Henry to rebuild her image offline.
Karen Gillan plays the social-media-obsessed Eliza; John Cho is the buttoned-up branding expert who agrees to coach her. He teaches her how to talk to actual humans instead of her phone, and her loud, awkward charm slowly cracks his guarded shell. The whole thing is a modern, hashtag-era spin on George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion.
ABC ran the show for a single season, yet it kept a devoted following, mostly thanks to the easy spark between Gillan and Cho. If you like sharp half-hour comedies about flawed people figuring each other out, this one is an easy watch. Stream Selfie (2014) online on iFILM.
