Synopsis
Hero (英雄, 2002) is a Chinese wuxia action drama directed by Zhang Yimou — watch online on iFILM. Jet Li plays a nameless warrior who reaches the court of the King of Qin (Chen Daoming) and claims to have defeated three infamous assassins: Broken Sword (Tony Leung Chiu-wai), Flying Snow (Maggie Cheung), and Sky (Donnie Yen).
The king is not convinced. He offers a counter-version of events. Then another. Each retelling reshapes what happened — who betrayed whom, who loved whom, whether any of it was real. Zhang Ziyi plays Moon, adding a fourth perspective. Cinematographer Christopher Doyle frames every duel like a scroll painting brought to life.
