Late 21st century: the state classifies her kind as a plague and hunts them down.

Violet infiltrates a secure facility to retrieve what she thinks is a biological weapon. It turns out to be a nine-year-old boy (Cameron Bright) that the government itself has condemned. Walking out with him means going to war with everyone — the ministry's enforcement arm led by William Fichtner and the resistance she once fought for. She has hours, not days, to decide what she was actually fighting to protect.
