Maddie is a deaf-mute author living alone in a house at the edge of the woods. One evening a masked man with a crossbow appears at her window. He quickly realizes she can't hear him, and turns the siege into a slow, confident game, certain his prey has nowhere to run. With no way to scream for help, Maddie has to fight back using only her eyes, her wits and whatever she can reach.
