The Legend of Korra (Seasons 1–4)

The Legend of Korra (2012–2014) is Nickelodeon's animated series you can watch online on iFILM. Four seasons, 52 episodes of around 23 minutes each, co-produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio and South Korea's Studio Mir. Created by Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. Voiced by Janet Varney as Korra, J.K. Simmons as Tenzin, David Faustino as Mako, and Seychelle Gabriel as Asami.

Set seventy years after Avatar: The Last Airbender, the series follows a new Avatar from the Southern Water Tribe. Korra has already mastered water, earth, and fire. Airbending — the fourth element — keeps slipping away. She trains under Tenzin, Aang's son, while Republic City erupts around her: anti-bender radicals, a spirit world bleeding into the physical one, and four very different threats across four seasons. Each season runs as its own contained story.

The show earned a reputation for tackling topics that most animated series avoid — revolution, trauma, identity — without softening them for younger audiences. All seasons of The Legend of Korra are available to stream on iFILM.
